EU Battery Rules Take Effect on August 18, Tightening Export Access

Starting on August 18, 2026, the EU Battery and Waste Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 will require rechargeable industrial batteries with a capacity above 2 kWh to carry a carbon-footprint performance grade label.
